The 7 Dimension Webgraph

The key to the 7 Dimensions of Singing is breaking down the mechanical complexities of the voice into a way that’s easy to understand. The webgraph allows you to see your current vocal skills relative to each dimension. More importantly, it helps you identify which type of exercises will be needed to create a more balanced voice to maximize YOUR abilities as a singer. After learning how the webgraph works in the video below, scroll down to start working on the dimension of your voice that needs the most attention today!

Your Vocal Profile Results

According to your initial Vocal Profile assessment, the dimension of articulation is the best place for you to start your journey. Articulation has to do with the coordination of the lip, tongue and jaw muscles used for diction. This is important to improve so that your audience can understand you better, as well as to help stylize your delivery. Let’s “BeyBeeBahBohBoo” our way to better articulation in the course exercise video below and be sure to use the piano track (MP3) to keep practicing!

Exercise Components

Formant: Ay/Ee/Ah/Oh/Oo  |  Feature: Multi  |  Pattern: I12345432123454321  |  Volume: Medium  |  Tempo: Slow/Fast  |  Variable: N/A

Need to make it easier?

Change from multiple formants to just E after each consonant (BeBeBeBeBeBeBe). Simplifying the formant will reduce the focus on articulation a little as you work towards the full version of the exercise.

Want to make it more challenging?

Try rotating the consonants D/T, B/P or G/K on each note (as in DayTeeDahTohDooTohDahTeeDay). Working with select combinations of features that require subtle, yet specific, adjustments will further challenge and develop the dimension of articulation.
